Al Silva
Vigil Honor
Mr Silva has been involved as a registered scout/scouter for over 50 years. His scouting journey began with Cub Scouts in Imperial Beach, CA in Pack 811 and continued through Boy Scouts in Troop 110, earning his Eagle Award along the way. He was inducted into the OA by Ashie Lodge in San Diego in 1969 and attained the Vigil Honor in 1986. Mr Silva has served in many scout/OA leadership positions through the years, including: Den Leader, Cub Master and Committee Chairman for Pack 863, Asst. Scoutmaster for Troop 241, Unit Commissioner in Canyons District, 2010/2013 Jamboree OC Council Scoutmaster, 2014 Wood Badge Staff, 2017 OC Jamboree Committee, 2017 National Jamboree Staff, 2019 World Jamboree Staff, Koshare Chapter Advisor of Wiatava Lodge, 2018 Wiatava Lodge NOAC Contingent Leader and 2022 NOAC staff. He has been recognized with the 2005 Camp Cherry Valley Adult Staff Member of the Year and inducted into the Camp’s Tribe of Torqua, the Catholic Committee Bronze Pelican Award, District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, and Founders Award. He has attended a World Jamboree, 7 National Jamborees, 17 NOACs and over 75 OA Conclaves. Throughout these travels, he has been known to trade a patch or two. Mr Silva is currently the Vice-President of Administration for the International Scouting Collectors Association (ISCA) Executive Board.

Michael Hare
Vigil Honor
Michael Hare started his Scouting journey as a youth in Florida before moving to SoCal. While a member of Troop 47 in Fontana he developed his love of camping and would attend multiple summer and winter camps every year, usually at Camp Helendade. Mike was inducted into the Order of the Arrow as an adult in 2008 and was awarded Vigil in 2011. He has served in various adviser positions at both the Chapter and Lodge level. He is currently the Cahuilla Lodge Adviser, an Asst. Scoutmaster and serves on the District Advancement Committee. Outside of Scouting Mike spends his free time playing ice hockey.
