Section Chief

Michael T

Vigil Honor

Michael is the 2024 Chief of Section G18S. Previously, he served as a Vice Chief in Puvunga Lodge. He started in scouting 12 years ago and has achieved the rank of Life Scout and is the current SPL of Troop 247. Michael has achieved the Vigil Honor and is actively working on his Eagle project. He loves engineering new designs for robots, rockets, planes and cars. His favorite movie: The Lego Batman movie.4

Section Vice Chief

Brandon V

Vigil Honor

Brandon is a Brotherhood member of Cahuilla Lodge.  He joined the Order of the Arrow in 2019, and received his Brotherhood honor in 2021.  He has served as Chapter Vice Chief twice, Lodge Treasurer, and currently as Lodge 1st  Vice Chief.  Brandon also was the CVC of Auctions at the 2022 Conclave.  Additionally, in 2022, he attended both National Order of the Arrow Conference and National Leadership Seminar.  Outside of the OA, he is currently a Life scout working toward Eagle, plus a Venture Scout having received the CIEC Tahquitz District’s Venture Scout of the Year award in 2022. Brandon is involved in leadership development as well. He has staffed and continues to staff both National Youth Leadership Training and Foxfire (a CIEC advanced leadership program). Finally, Brandon is an enthusiastic patch collector, especially of OA patches, and recently designed his first OA patch.

Alex T

Vigil Honor

Alex was introduced to the world of scouting in the 2nd grade, in which he became a wolf in Cub Scout Pack 148, Temecula California. There, he worked with his denmates in fun games and camping trips, and earned many belt loops and pins. He soon achieved his Arrow of Light, and in March of 2016, bridged over to Troop 148, Temecula California. In his time in his troop, he served on many different leadership positions, including two terms as Senior Patrol Leader. After 2 years of engaging adventures and dedicated scouting, he became a member of the Order of the Arrow. Over the years, he served as Chapter Secretary for a total of 14 months, and served as the 2022 Tahquitz Chapter Chief. He got his Brotherhood honor within a year, and was awarded the First Year Arrowman pin. In November of 2022, he achieved the Eagle rank with 67 merit badges for 9 Eagle Palms, and was awarded the Vigil Honor for his efforts and dedication to others. For his service and dedication, he was selected as the 2022 Tahquitz District Scout of the Year. Now, he serves as both the Section G18S Secretary and the Cahuilla Lodge Chief for 2023, while still supporting his troop as a registered adult. Outside of scouting, he is a senior for the class of 2023 and member of the National Honor Society chapter at Great Oak High school. After graduation, he plans to go to a campus in the University of California to pursue a degree in Data Science.

Ben S

Vigil Honor

Ben completed his Ordeal in the Order of the Arrow in 2017. He completed his induction into the Order of the Arrow by becoming a Brotherhood member in September of 2018. In 2022, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was also bestowed the Vigil Honor.  During his scouting years, he has held many Chapter and Lodge positions. Ben currently attends the University of Washington in Seattle and is studying Environmental Studies with a Minor in Law, Justice and Societies. He also enjoys playing rugby at the University of Washington.
